Academic Excellence Scholarships

the scholarship is offered  annually to a student pursuing nursing in a New Jersey college. Applicants must display a high level of academic achievement, leadership ability and must participate in enriching extracurricular activities. Students must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and must demonstrate financial need. The amount of the award is $2,500.

The scholarship was established in 2002 and will recognize a nurse practitioner student who demonstrates clinical competency, academic achievement and political activism, which Ms Gelman exemplified during her long and varied nursing career. Preference is given to applicants in an accredited PNP program or those with interest or experience in health policy or advocacy.

Applicant to this scholarship must be a California resident enrolled in a California BRN-approved program in one of the following areas: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or entry level Master of Science in Nursing (MSN/MN ) and have a minimum cumulative 2.50 GPA  for the Affiliate Schools awards, a 3.80 GPA for the Academic Excellence in Pre-licensure awards or a 3.00 GPA for the Graduate or Doctoral Studies awards.

The Islamic Society of North America will award the Dr. Abdulmunim A. Shakir Scholarship to twenty applicants amounting to $1,000 based on academic achievement, leadership experience and volunteer service.

Selection is based upon academic achievement and financial need.

Applicant must play golf, be Korean-American and be enrolled as a full time student. Selection is based upon financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service.

Applicant must be a continuing student, have completed at least 45 semester hours, and have no other merit awards. Selection is based upon academic achievements, service to school, and talent.

Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management. Awarded to applicants who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement at the University and community involvement.

Applicant must be a student who graduated from a Southern Utah high school and is currently attending or is planning to attend the University of Utah. Selection is based upon academic excellence, leadership, and service to the community and school. Application, official high school and/or college transcripts, and a two-page essay are required to be submitted.

This program is a merit-based award to New York high school graduates who have achieved academic excellence as a high school student and who enroll or plan to enroll in a public or private New York college or university. Applicants must be legal residents of New York and U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens. Students must graduate from a New York high school with two of the following: a minimum 3.3 GPA; designation 'with honors' on a New York State Regents diploma or a score of three or higher on two or more Advanced Placement examinations; or ranked within the top 15 percent of their high school class. An annual award of $500 is given to up to 5,000 recipients.

Applicant must be a minority student enrolled in a technical degree program and have a minimum grade average of "B". Financial need is required. Award amount is dependent upon tuition balance, academic excellence and classification. The program is not open to Xerox Corporation employees, or their spouses and children.

This program assists students who have demonstrated outstanding ability, achievement, and potential in one of several critical subject areas. Applicants must be Minnesota high school graduates and enroll full time and in a baccalaureate degree granting program. The scholarship can be renewed annually for up to three academic years. Selection based upon academic achievement and leadership in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Nomination by a Presbyterian minister is suggested.

Applicant must come from southeastern Pennsylvania or the surrounding area and must plan on a career in environmental preservation or landscaper restoration. Selection is based upon academic achievement and financial need.

Students must demonstrate excellence in economics or finance courses as well as have maintained a high-level of academic achievement. Applicants must provide essay along with their application.

Applicant must not be a U.S. citizen; must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, character, communication skills, intellectual and personal vigor, leadership and creativity in community or school, and potential for enriching lives.

Applicants must be African American, Afro-Latino, or Native American medical students in New York City. Students must demonstrate academic excellence and a dedication to research, leadership and service.
