Scholarships for Students in Montana

The purpose of this program is to support individuals interested in pursuing a career in nursing or advancing in their nursing career with an emphasis on long term care. Preference will be given to those individuals currently working in or demonstrating an interest in pursuing a career in long term care.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must pursue study on a full-time or part-time basis in a nursing program relevant to the long term care field.
• Have a GPA of 3.0
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess a Permanent Resident Visa.
• Must reside in Montana and plan to work, or remain working, in the long term care nursing field in Montana. 

The application deadline is the last day of February of each year the scholarship is offered.

Applicant must be a graduate or graduating senior of a Montana high school who will attend the University of Michigan or Harvard College. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington. Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Applicants must be LGBTQ students pursuing graduate education in psychology, psychiatry, social work, or psychiatric nursing. Preference given to students who display financial need.

Applicants must be enrolled in a college, university or technical school in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington or Wyoming and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Selection is based on book and cover design projects.

Applicants must be a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington and be a high-school senior planning on pursuing a bachelor's degree. Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well.

Applicants must be?residents of?Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Students must be members of the?LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are?economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given (special?) consideration as well. Students must be Latino/Latina youth under age 25 with a preference for students involved in athletics.

Applicant must be involved in broadcasting, broadcast technology, marketing, or journalism courses. Applicants must be of non-white origin and must be at least a sophomore (by fall term of scholarship year) enrolled in the following: a broadcast, broadcast technology, marketing, or journalism curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree at an accredited four-year college or university. A broadcast curriculum at an accredited community college, transferable to such a four-year baccalaureate degree program. A broadcast curriculum at an accredited vocational-technical school. If you are a permanent resident of the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, or Montana tuition may be applied to an in-state or out-of-state school. If you are not a permanent resident of the above-mentioned states, tuition must be applied to a school in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, or Montana.

Applicant must be a citizen of the United States, Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chile, Peru, Canada, Mexico or Australia who is a full-time undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior that is majoring in mining engineering, metallurgical engineering, or geology. Questionnaire, personal essay, and unofficial transcript required. Applicant must attend one of the following institutions: Arizona State University, Colorado School of Mines, Eastern Arizona College, Michigan Technological University, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Montana Tech of the University of Montana, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, New Mexico State University, Northern Arizona University, Pima Community College, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, University of Arizona, University of Texas at El Paso, University of Utah, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, or Yavapai Community College.

Applicants must be a student of funeral service from Montana and be enrolled full- or part-time in an American Board of Funeral Service Education accredited program. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must be Asian or Pacific Islander lesbians, bisexual females, and transgender (both MTF and FTM spectrum) students.

Applicant must be a woman and a resident of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming. Proof of legal home residence and six copies of application, proof of membership in ACSM, a brief statement describing educational objectives, future plans of study or research, professional activities, and financial need, at least three letters of recommendation, and official transcript are required.

Applicant must have at least a general class radio license and demonstrate interest in promoting the Amateur Radio Service. Preference is given to residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington who have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated Montana State University - Billings as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. Applicants may change their top-choice selection by logging onto the Online Scholarship Application (OSA) website. Applicant must take the PSAT/NMSQT in the specified year of the high school program and no later than the third year in grades 9 through 12. Applicant must also be a citizen of the United States or be a U.S. lawful permanent resident.

Students must be members of the?LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are?economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well.??Students must be residents of Snohomish County, Washington whose lives have been impacted by HIV and/or where HIV-related service encompasses their educational and professional goals.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be studying engineering and/or science at their chosen school. Applicants must have permanent residence in the NACE Central Area which includes the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
