Participants must plan to teach at least 12 credit hours, or 720 hours per year (including prep time), for a minimum of three years in a post-secondary nursing program.

Applicants must be women who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program that is related to transportation. They either must be attending a school located in Minnesota, or must be North Dakota, South Dakota or Iowa students who have lived in Minnesota at some point during the past five years. The maximum award ranges from $7,343 at a public two year college to $11,753 at a private four-year college.
