Scholarships for Students in Connecticut

Applicant must be a Connecticut high school senior with exceptional academic accomplishments, and be an outstanding student.

Applicant must be a high school senior or full-time current college student who is a permanent resident of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut and is an active member of their local church (college students who attend school away from their home will be evaluated on an individual basis). Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Awarded on a monthly basis with a deadline of the 15th of each month.

Applicants must attend or be accepted to an accredited university or technical or trade school. They must major in advertising, marketing, broadcast media or print production. They must be sponsored by a member of the Advertising Club of Connecticut. Selection is based on GPA (20 percent), essay (30 percent), work experience and activities (30 percent) and SAT/ACT scores (20 percent).

Applicants must be working toward a degree in one of the following fields: animal science, animal nutrition, dairy science, poultry science, equine/equestrian science, agriculture, agricultural science, agricultural business management, economics, finance or marketing and sales. Applicants must attend college in and be residents of one of the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia or West Virginia. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicant must be a Church of Christ student in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont or Virginia. A minimum combined SAT score of 950 (composite ACT score of 20) is required.

Applicant must be the child or employee of Volkswagen and Audi dealers from the tri-state area of Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. Selection is based upon academic record.

Applicants must be Connecticut residents who have been accepted at or are enrolled at a postsecondary institution full-time. They must be studying or have plans to study a science or engineering subject that is related to air and waste management or a related environmental subject, and they must intend to pursue careers in one of these areas. Selection is based on academic achievement, stated career goals, extracurricular involvements and letters of recommendation.

Applicant must be the dependent of a regular/reserve Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard service member who is serving on active duty, retired with pay, or died in the line of duty or after retirement. Applicant must be a resident of Connecticut, New Jersey, or New York.

Applicant must be of Swiss descent or have one parent who is a Swiss citizen, be a permanent resident of Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania, and have a minimum 3.8 GPA.

Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students in their last two years of study who plan to become bilingual education teachers or teachers of English to non-native students in Connecticut public schools. Students must be enrolled full-time in participating undergraduate or graduate teacher preparation programs at the following universities: Central Connecticut State University, Fairfield University and Southern Connecticut State University. Applicants must start their teaching careers within 16 months of graduation.

Applicants must be a high school senior or high school graduate with a high school junior year class rank of 20 percent or better. Students must have a minimum SAT score of 1800 or ACT score of 27 and plan to attend a Connecticut public or non-profit private college. Selection is based on financial need and academic merit.

Applicant must be of Swiss descent or have one parent who is a Swiss citizen, and be a permanent resident of Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania.

Applicant must be a full-time student and resident of Connecticut. Selection is based on academic achievement and community involvement.

Applicant must attend school or have their permanent residence in western or central Massachusetts, Norfolk County, MA, or the state of Connecticut. Applicant must be planning to attend an accredited college or university. Selection is based upon transcript of grades, college board scores, letters of recommendation, and personal resume. Applicants must be Connecticut students who have declared a major in health, physical education, recreation or dance. Students must be college juniors or seniors, maintain a GPA of 2.7 or higher and be CTAHPERD members.

Applicant must be an outstanding Connecticut high school senior from a disadvantaged background who has proven academic ability in high school grades, test scores, class rank, and letters of recommendation. Selection is based upon commitment to diversity, multiculturalism, demonstrated leadership, contributions to community, and demonstrated financial need.

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the tri-state area (New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey) who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender and has shown exceptional leadership, courage, and achievement. Selection based upon leadership and community service involvement. Application, two essays, six short essays, and two letters of recommendation are required to be submitted.

Applicant must be a Connecticut resident studying at a Connecticut nursing school.

Applicants must be Connecticut high school seniors, be admitted to an accredited four-year college and plan to pursue studies leading to a career in sports journalism. Students who meet academic standards can receive additional aid.

Applicant must be a high school senior, current college student, or non-traditional adult student who plans to attend or is currently attending an accredited community college, four-year college or university, or a technical/ vocational program in the United States. High school senior applicants must rank in the top third of their graduating class or have a minimum 2.5 GPA. College student applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. All applicants must be from any one of the 64 Connecticut towns served by the sponsor.
