This scholarship provides financial support to the dependents of McKesson employees in the U.S. and Canada, based on academic achievement, community service, leadership, and financial need.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be a dependent of a current McKesson employee.
- You need to demonstrate strong academic performance.
- You should have a record of community service and leadership.
- Financial need will be considered in the evaluation.
Application Process: Apply online during the annual application period, typically from February 1 through April 30.

This program is designed to encourage Tennessee residents who are registered nurses to become teachers and administrators in Tennessee nursing education programs.The applicant must
- be a Tennessee resident and a U.S. citizen
- have Tennessee nursing license
- be enrolled in an eligible master’s degree or a post master’s degree in a nursing educational program at an eligible institution.
Those who accept the award must sign a promissory note and in doing so incur an obligation to enter a faculty or administrative position at a college or university in Tennessee in a nursing education program. The obligation is equivalent to four (4) years of full-time employment to have the loan forgiven.

Applicants must have been registered on a Dixie Youth Baseball team participating in a franchised Dixie Youth Baseball Inc. league prior to reaching age thirteen. Selection is based on financial need, scholastic record and citizenship. Programs are located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Recipient must agree to teach math or science in a Tennessee public school system for two academic years for each year funded by the program; must not have a break in enrollment for more than 12 months; program of study must be completed within five years. The award for all years of study must not exceed $10,000.

United Daughters of the Confederacy
Applicant must be a lineal descendant of worthy Confederates or collateral descendant who is a member of the Children of the Confederacy or the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Applicant must be a member or former member of the Children of the Confederacy or the United Daughters of the Confederacy and reside in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in an accredited college or university, and carry a minimum of 12 hours each semester. Applicant must be prepared to pass entrance examination of prospective college or university. Applicant must submit proof of Confederate Military Record, line of descent from Confederate ancestor, a letter of endorsement from sponsoring Chapter, a letter of recommendation, complete financial report, official transcripts, an essay on the significance of a southern heritage, and a wallet-size photo. Original and four copies of the application forms and five copies of all documents, certificates, and letters must be submitted to the Division Director of Education. All inquiries must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
