Scholarships for Students in Colorado

Candidates for this scholarship shall be daughters, sons, spouses, granddaughters or great granddaughters of a veteran or a veteran who has served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.

Candidates must be a resident of Colorado.

Previous Parley Scholarship winners are not eligible for further competition.

The number of recipients and amounts of awards will be determined by the amount of contributions received during the current year from Units.

 

Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a resident of the western slope of Colorado, and have financial need.

Applicant must be a resident of the western slope in Colorado, enrolled full time, and an active participant in baseball program.

Applicant must be a Colorado high school student who demonstrates a positive attitude and a drive towards accomplishment. Minimum 2.5 GPA, transcript, and essay required. Financial need must be demonstrated.

Applicant must have financial need. Preference is given to applicants from rural high schools, particularly Montrose County, CO, or other West-Central Colorado locations.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA, demonstrate an exuberant and inquisitive attitude toward learning. Applicant must qualify for Colorado in-state tuition, be enrolled for six or more credit hours per semester.

Applicant must be enrolled in a Colorado university, college, community college or junior college who is in good academic standing. Sponsor is looking for an applicant who exemplifies their spirit, combining creativity, intelligence, drive, and responsibility.

Applicants must be Colorado high school seniors whose schools are members of the Colorado Student Media Association. Students must have worked on their yearbook or newspaper for at least two years. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Selection criteria include neatness (10 percent), quality of work (40 percent), personal statement (20 percent), letters of recommendation (20 percent) and grades (10 percent).

Applicant must be a Colorado resident and a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Applicants must be enrolled in a college, university or technical school in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington or Wyoming and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Selection is based on book and cover design projects.

Applicant must be a resident of Colorado, have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours at CU-Denver, with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Applicant must be a Colorado resident and a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Applicants must be sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate or graduate students in natural or applied science, engineering or mathematics at Brown University, Colorado School of Mines, Clemson University, Florida Institute of Technology, Georgia Institute of Technology, Harvey Mudd College, Johns Hopkins University, Louisiana State University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Miami University, North Carolina State University, North Dakota State University, Ohio State, Pennsylvania State University, Purdue University, Syracuse University, Texas A&M University, Tufts University, University of Arizona, University of Central Florida, University of Chicago, University of Colorado, University of Kansas, University of Kentucky, University of Minnesota, University of Michigan, University of Oklahoma, University of Rochester, University of Southern California, University of Texas at Austin, University of Virginia, University of Washington, University of Wisconsin or Washington University and must be nominated by faculty or staff. Applicants may not directly apply for the scholarship. Students must have excellent grades and performed research or lab work in their field.

Applicant must submit an original paper on western Colorado studies.

Applicant must be a citizen of the United States, Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chile, Peru, Canada, Mexico or Australia who is a full-time undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior that is majoring in mining engineering, metallurgical engineering, or geology. Questionnaire, personal essay, and unofficial transcript required. Applicant must attend one of the following institutions: Arizona State University, Colorado School of Mines, Eastern Arizona College, Michigan Technological University, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Montana Tech of the University of Montana, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, New Mexico State University, Northern Arizona University, Pima Community College, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, University of Arizona, University of Texas at El Paso, University of Utah, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, or Yavapai Community College.

Applicant must be a Colorado resident majoring in the arts and sciences, and must be enrolled in the coll. of Arts and Sciences. Selection is based upon academic performance and demonstrated financial need.

Applicant must transfer from Colorado Mountain College, Arapahoe Community College, or Front Range Community college with at least 15 credits.

Applicant must be a Colorado resident whose parents have no college, technical, or occupational training beyond high school. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien and have no prior bachelor's degree.

Applicant must be a student who attends St. Edward's University and/or resides in Travis County living within these Montopolis Area boundaries: South of the Colorado River, East of Pleasant Valley Road, West of Highway 183, and North of Highway 71. Recipients are required to actively participate in the Dolores Church scholarship fundraising efforts.

Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a Colorado resident from west of the Continental Divide. Financial need considered.
