Candidates for this scholarship shall be daughters, sons, spouses, granddaughters or great granddaughters of a veteran or a veteran who has served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.

The number of recipients and amounts of awards will be determined by the amount of contributions received during the current year from Units.
