Dorothy Gillette Meyer Memorial Scholarship

Offered by: Sinclair School of Nursing - University of Missouri

A minimum of $500 will be awarded to a graduating student from St. Charles Public School with preference given to women.  If no suitable candidate from that school is found another graduate from another school may qualify.

March of Dimes - Graduate nursing scholarships

This scholarship is annually awarded  to registered nurses enrolled in graduate programs of maternal-child nursing at the master's or doctoral level. Applicant must be a member of at least one of the following professional organizations: the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses; the American College of Nurse-Midwives; or the National Association of Neonatal Nurses.

American Nurses Foundation Grant

Offered by: Sigma Theta Tau International

American Nurses Foundation offers grants to nurse researchers to carry out researches that contribute to the advancement of nursing science and the enhancement of patient outcomes. Grants are awarded in all areas of nursing, including healthy patient outcomes, health care policy development, critical care, gerontology, women's health, child health, community and family intervention, and leadership. 

In all award categories, the principal investigator must be a licensed registered nurse who has obtained at least one degree, either a baccalaureate degree or higher, in nursing. There are no citizenship restrictions for Principal Investigators. Non-US nurses are eligible.

Rosemary Berkel Crisp Research Award

The purpose of this grant is to support nursing research in the critical areas of women's health, oncology, and pediatrics. Funds provided by interest from a gift from The Harry L. Crisp, II and Rosemary Berkel Crisp Foundation to the honor society's Research Endowment.

Eligible candidates 

  • must be registered nurse with current license
  • must be member of Sigma Theta Tau International
  • must have a master's or doctoral degree or be enrolled in a doctoral program
  • must be ready to implement research project when funding is received
  • must complete project within one (1) year of funding

Sisters in Solidarity Scholarships

Offered by: Sisters in Solidarity To Educate Respond & Serve

This scholarship is for young Muslim women in the DC Metropolitan Area.three one thousand dollar scholarships will be awarded: One to a high school senior, one to a college student and one to a graduate student. The requirements are:

  • a Muslim female between the ages of 17-24 years old
  • Currently be enrolled in or accepted to a 2 or 4 year college.
  • have a GPA of 3.5
  • Demonstrate an active participation in community service work.

The Haley Scholarship is for students in either the MS or PhD nursing programs. In addition, RNs with a baccalaureate degree in another field are eligible to apply to the RN/MS program. Preference is to be given to nurses employed by Brigham and Women’s Hospital or one of its affiliates.
