The Diabetes Scholars Foundation Scholarship Program is available to incoming freshmen seeking a higher education at an accredited four year university, college, technical or trade school. This scholarship recognizes students who are actively involved in the diabetes community, who have high academic performance, who participate in community and/or extra-curricular activities and who have demonstrated that they are successfully managing the challenges of living with diabetes. Diabetes Scholars Foundation scholarships are not based on financial need.
An endowed scholarship set up by Dr. Priscilla (LeMone) Koeplin, former Director of the Undergraduate Program of the School of Nursing, in honor of the parents of her and her late husband, Jacque. This scholarship is specifically designed to help non?traditional students in any program at the school of nursing with financial need. One or more annual awards may be given to students enrolled in any program within the school of nursing.
You do not need to apply for individual internal scholarships. Submit the scholarship application for your degree program to the Sinclair School of Nursing Office of Student Affairs. Once your application is received, you will be eligible for any scholarship for which you meet the eligibility criteria. All students will also need to have a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file.

The goal of Akron General Medical Center’s Service League Nursing Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for students regardless of race, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin, who are accepted by an accredited college of nursing. The Akron General Medical Center Development Foundation through endowments funded by the Akron General Medical Center Service League and other benefactors will provide scholarships. The scholarships are awarded based on candidate’s scholarship and financial need.
New Careers in Nursing Scholarship Program aims to ease the nation’s nursing shortage by attracting new students into the profession of nursing while enhancing efforts to recruit students from underrepresented groups in nursing. Besides scholarship funding, this program also provides valuable support to students as they transition from other fields of study into nursing.
Five $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to underrepresented students. Underrepresented is defined by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as ethnicity, gender, and/or financial need. Applications must be submitted to the SSON scholarship coordinator by December 21.

This scholarship is also known as the Past Department President’s Memorial Scholarship.
It is a scholarship available for descendant of a veteran – deceased or in financial need. The applicant must be a Pennsylvania resident and plan on attending an accredited school for Nurses Training.
The award is in the amount of $1200. It is payable the first year of $400, the next two (2) years, each for $400. The application process includes an essay concerning motivation for entering the Nursing profession.

The Georgia Nurses Foundation announces a call for applications for the annual Georgia Nurses Foundation and the Georgia Nurses Association scholarship awards. These programs include: the Katherine Pope Scholarship awarded by the Georgia Nurses Foundation; the Annie Lou Overton Scholarship for the Georgia Nurses Association.
These programs provide financial assistance to qualified applicants studying nursing in an accredited school, college or university. Applicants may be enrolled full or part-time in a graduate or undergraduate nursing program. Interested students must have a GPA of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in prior academic work and be able to verify financial need.
Scholarship funds are obtained through the tax-deductible contributions of nurses and supporters of nursing. The scholarships are awarded in minimum amounts of $500.00, in odd years only.
Priority will be given to applicants who meet the following criteria:

Applicants must display a high level of academic achievement, leadership ability and must participate in enriching extracurricular activities. The Caroline E. Holt Scholarship is open to students who desire to attend or are attending an accredited school of nursing. You must obtain a letter of sponsorship from your local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter to be considered for this award. Financial need will also be considered.
This scholarship is awarded to a nursing student based upon merit , proven financial need, an individual’s GPA and GRE, GMAT, or other standardized test score.
Applicants to this scholarship must be a resident of the State of Hawaii demonstrating financial need and attending a degree in nursing in an accredited college or university.
