Applicant must be a finalist in the National Achievement competition and must indicate U of Texas at Austin as first-choice institution. Recipient who is a Texas resident receive $4,000 for freshman year and $3,000 per year for sophomore through senior years. Non-resident recipient receives $1,000 and an out-of-state fee waiver each year for four years
