American Indian Nurse Scholarship Program
The American Indian Nurse Scholarship Award Program was started by The National Society in 1927 to give students of American Indian descent the opportunity to pursue careers in nursing.
Eligible students receive $1,000 per semester and the money is to be used strictly for tuition, books or for fees applicable to the student’s approved program and must be
- 1/4 American Indian, enrolled in a tribe.
- A high school graduate or have equivalent education
- Enrolled in an accredited school
- Enrolled in the nursing program
- Maintaining the scholastic average required by the school
- Not receiving an Indian Health Service Scholarship
- In need of financial assistance
