Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required at time of application or by final materials deadline
  • Minimum 3.000 GPA for all prerequisite courses at application and final materials deadline
  • Minimum 3.000 GPA in prerequisite science courses (Biology/Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology)
  • Minimum 2.650 GPA for Anatomy and Physiology courses; only first two attempts of A&P sequence considered (withdrawal counts as an attempt)
  • Minimum grade of C in all prerequisite courses (except Inquiry Seminar, which must meet university completion standards)
  • Minimum 62 semester credits or 93 quarter credits of transferable coursework completed by final materials deadline
  • Compliance requirements after admission: negative TB screening or QuantiFERON/T-Spot, DTaP/Tdap (every 10 years), MMR (2 doses or positive titers), Hepatitis B documentation and positive HBsAB titer, Varicella vaccination or positive titer, annual influenza vaccine, COVID-19 documentation, American Heart Association BLS CPR, criminal background check and drug screen, signed Essential Functions form, health assessment, confidentiality and simulation release, proof of health insurance, professional liability insurance (annual fee)

Prerequisites

  • Introduction to genetics: 3 credits
  • Statistics: 3 credits
  • Natural science prerequisites must be completed within 7 years of program start (human development exempt from 7-year limit)

Selection Process

  • Applicants are reviewed after NursingCAS verification and by application deadline cycles
  • Priority applications considered in first round; later applications considered as space is available
  • Accelerated B.S. program requires an interview for selected applicants; interview format: recorded video responses via Kira Talent
  • Selection factors include cumulative GPA, prerequisite GPA, essay responses about experience and involvement, and Oregon residency may receive slight additional consideration
