Accelerated BSN Programs in Oklahoma

Program Length & Format

• 12-month, 60 credit hours
• Full-time enrollment only
• Program starts each summer and ends the following May
• Combines theoretical coursework and clinical content on campus

Admission Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a US regionally accredited institution required before enrollment
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at application and enrollment
• Minimum science GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at application and enrollment
• Completion of 60 prerequisite credit hours by enrollment
• At least 30 prerequisite hours completed prior to application
• All prerequisite courses require a grade of C or higher (C-minus not accepted)
• Completion of at least three of the four required science courses before application
• Students with a bachelor's degree are waived from General Education requirements

Prerequisites

• Principles of English Composition I and II (6 credit hours)
• American Federal Government or US History (3 credit hours)
• General Education Social Science (3 credit hours)
• General Education Mathematics (3 credit hours)
• Microbiology with laboratory (5 credit hours)
• Chemistry with laboratory (5 credit hours)
• Human Anatomy with laboratory (4-5 credit hours)
• Human Physiology with laboratory (4-5 credit hours)
• Introductory Zoology and Lab or Introductory Biology (3-4 credit hours, prerequisite only)
• Foreign language requirement: two semesters in college or two years in high school
• Electives to total 60 prerequisite credit hours before enrollment
• Standalone and survey courses for anatomy and physiology cannot be mixed; must complete both anatomy and physiology I and II or standalone courses

Deadlines

• Application deadline for Summer 2026 cohort: October 1, 2025

Application

• Submit NursingCAS online application
• Official transcripts from all colleges attended
• Completion of prerequisites with required grades before application and enrollment

Credit Transfer

• Courses must be from regionally accredited institutions
• Transfer credit evaluation required; consult advisors for credit transfer from trimester or quarter systems
• General Education requirements waived for students with bachelor's or approved associate degrees

International Students

• International students may apply as ABSN has in-person requirements that comply with F-1 visa regulations
