Accelerated BSN Programs in Indiana

Program Length & Format

• 15-month program delivered over four semesters for full-time study
• 56 credit hours of online coursework and 570 clinical hours required for graduation
• 100% online coursework with in-person clinical placements and two on-campus residencies
• Residency 1: week 3 of NURB 240; Residency 2: week 1 of NURB 455
• Program intended for full-time enrollment; students are advised not to expect to work while enrolled

Admission Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field required
• Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8
• Completion of prerequisite courses (prerequisites do not expire)
• Permanent Indiana address required

Entrance Exams

• HESI A2 admission exam required (proctored at a local site)
• HESI admission exam fee listed as $75 (Proctor-U fee may apply)

• Human Anatomy
• Human Physiology
• Microbiology
• Organic Chemistry or General Chemistry I & II
• Introduction to Psychology
• Social Science
• Philosophy
• Statistics or College Algebra

Deadlines

• Program start: semester II (January) each year

Application

• Use the Graduate/Adult/Guest application (do not select the Undergraduate application)
• Apply in the Fall for admission into the clinical component; announcements emailed to eligible applicants
• HESI A2 exam must be completed (proctored at local site) prior to admission

Clinical & Simulation Lab

• 570 clinical hours completed at approved clinical placement sites
• Clinical placements coordinated by program; placement efforts focus on local sites
• 1:1 preceptor model used for clinical placements
• Two in-person on-campus skills residencies required (see residency weeks above)
• Simulation experiences integrated into curriculum

Cost & Financial Aid

• Tuition: $860 per credit hour for 2025-26
• General services fees: full-time $168/semester, part-time $100/semester, summer $86
• Prior-to-start fees: background check $66.75; drug test and document storage $94.99; HESI admission exam $75; immunization costs as applicable
• Program-related recurring costs: HESI resources payments ($625.45 first semester; $387.18 each subsequent payment), ExamSoft $47 per term, Shadow Health $130 (first semester), lab kits and travel for residencies, state board and NCLEX fees at program end
