Admission Requirements

  • Eligible applicants: BS/BA in another field, OR LPN/MICT with 60 college credits, OR at least 60 college credits

  • Cumulative undergraduate GPA minimum: 2.7 on a 4.0 scale
  • No prerequisite grade lower than C- (70%); all prerequisites must be completed and final transcripts received before program start

Entrance Exams

Prerequisites

  • Human Growth and Development/Child Development: 3 credit hours
  • Intermediate Algebra or higher (or proficiency/CLEP): 3 credit hours

  • Public Speaking or Interpersonal Communication: 3 credit hours
  • Anatomy and Physiology: 8 credit hours (5-6 hour combined A&P may be considered with supplemental physiology recommended)
  • Human Nutrition (science-based): 3 credit hours
  • Health science courses related to nursing (recommended: physiology, chemistry, biology, genetics, microbiology): 4-7 credit hours
  • Minimum of 15 credit hours of science required

Credit Transfer

  • No time limit on when prerequisite courses were taken for prerequisite credit

  • Biblical Perspectives general education course may be transferred if approved by Chair of Christian Ministry and Formation

Program Length & Format

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites

  • Science and nutrition requirements: The Human Organism with lab or General Biology I; Foundational Human Anatomy and Physiology or Human Anatomy and Physiology; Introduction to Microbiology or General Microbiology; Introductory General, Organic and Biochemistry or General Chemistry I; Principles of Diet and Nutrition
  • Elective requirement choices: one Philosophy course from listed options; one Statistics course from listed options
