Accelerated BSN Programs in Maryland

Updated at: November 10, 2025

You already have a college degree and work experience. An accelerated BSN in Maryland is a 12- to 18-month program that builds on your background so you can move into nursing without starting over. You skip general education requirements and focus on nursing coursework and clinical skills.

Clinical training may take place in some of the leading medical institutions such as The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC). Students will get a chance to work in high-acuity settings and build practical skills needed for nursing practice.

Maryland’s healthcare sector includes major employers such as MedStar Health, Johns Hopkins Health System, and federal or military facilities like Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. A BSN is the credential these employers expect and is required for many roles and pay scales.

These programs draw on your existing critical thinking skills and develop them in a nursing context. Below are Maryland’s top accelerated BSN programs.
