Ivy Tech Community College – Central Indiana

This is one of the most affordable nursing schools that you can enroll at. With more than 100,000 students each year, this all-inclusive community college offers technical certificates, associate degrees and development certificates for different areas of study.

Ivy Tech Community College – Kokomo

The Kokomo campus was founded in 1968. Often simply referred to as Ivy Tech, this specific campus is the largest among the group of campuses. There are eight degrees that are being offered under the Kokomo wing.

Ivy Tech Community College – Whitewater

This is the Richmond campus which is also called the Whitewater campus. Just like its sister campuses, it offers several certificate and degree programs. Practical Nursing is one of the certificate curriculums that are being offered here.

Practical Nursing at Ivy Tech

There is no doubt that an LPN is a vital part of a healthcare team and a Practical Nursing program can lead to a technical certificate. It takes approximately 12 months (48 credit hours) to finish this program.

The Indiana State Board of Nursing has approved Ivy Tech’s PN Program while the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission has given its accreditation.

The LPN coursework required include anatomy, physiology, nutrition, basic nursing skills, math, pharmacology and psychology. These courses prepare students to gain ample knowledge and skills to perform their future jobs as LPNs.
