The Alverno College Nursing program is intended to prepare students for careers in nursing with a combination of technical knowledge and abilities.
The curriculum is a rigorous program that train students for optimal success with in depth study and integration of theories and practical skills to prepare professionally competent nurses.
The program is designed to accommodate full time study or part time study options depending on the needs of the student.
Opportunities for clinical experience are guaranteed through the more than 60 clinical health care facilities and sites that Alverno is affiliated with. A student will have clinical components in five of the eight semesters of enrollment and clinical practice is guaranteed in each semester of the junior and senior years.
Clinical practice will also include an intense 16 hour a week experience opportunity working alongside a nursing professional in the last semester of enrollment.
All students will be assigned a professional advisor who will consult with the student about the academic program and help with planning the first year of study. The student will be transferred to a Nursing faculty advisor in the second year.

The Bellin College BSN program curriculum prepares students to enter the field of professional nursing. The program offers extensive clinical experience and individualized approaches. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the Higher Learning Commission.
The program requires a minimum of 128 credits to complete with general requirement courses taken concurrently with the nursing courses beginning in the first semester.
The Traditional Option of entry is designed for applicants with a high school diploma and with less than 11 transferable college credits. Applicants are admitted into this track in the fall semester and can expect to complete the program in four years of full time study.

The applicant will be scheduled for a personal interview once all application materials have been filed.
The nursing program offers a 15 month option which requires the applicant to have completed 60 credits worth of general education and a minimum GPA of 3.0 or more in transferred courses with no grades lower than a ‘C’ obtained.
The Carroll University Nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The Four year BSN program offers students a rigorous curriculum consisting of theoretical and practical instruction preparing students for the National Licensure Examination.
Admission into the program can be either through direct or delayed admission options.

The program changes admission and progression standards on the basis of regulatory licensing or certification. Admission review is conducted by a selection committee and the Office of Admission will notify applicants as to the final decision reached on their application.
Columbia College of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. The program is approved by Wisconsin State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Applicants are accepted into the program after completing 62 credits of general education requirements for the course at select four and two year institutions.
Students at CCON are consequently able to enter directly into nursing courses and clinical experience beginning in the first semester of being enrolled in the program in fulfillment of the 62 credits of nursing courses required to earn the BSN degree.
CCON’s affiliation with the Columbia St. Mary Health Systems means that students are guaranteed clinical placements. The program offers full time and part time enrollment options to facilitate the needs of individual students.
Graduates from the program are eligible to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
Admissions Requirements:
The application deadline for the enrollment in the spring semester is the 1st of October and the application deadline for admission in the fall semester is the 1st of March.
Concordia University is a faith based institution of higher education committed to developing students in all aspects for the service of the Church and the World at large.
The Nursing program at Concordia is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
The program is offered in flexible full time and part time options with some courses offered online. The nursing program offers direct clinical practice as well as up to date in classroom instruction.
Admissions Requirements:
Students transferring from another college will be required to submit their transcripts for review. Concordia College requires a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 and a minimum of a ‘C’ grade for all science classes.
All applications must be received by the school by the 15th of July for enrollment in the fall semester and by the 15th of December for enrollment in the spring semester. The Nursing and Admissions committee will review each application with due consideration.
Students entering the sophomore year of the program will be required to have: Current CPR certification for healthcare providers and CNA certification.
For the purpose of clinical practice sessions offered at healthcare facilities within the community. Graduates from the program will be eligible to sit for the National Licensure exam to become licensed Registered Nurses.
The Edgewood College Nursing Program offers two focus areas: Nursing Administration and Nursing Education.
The programs are intended to meet the requirements of working students with course offered in the evenings to meet the needs of busy professional schedules. Each 36 credit concentration is offered in the summer, spring and fall semesters.
Graduates from the program are prepared for leadership positions in the nursing sector having become duly certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Admissions Requirements:
The college application period is between the 15th of July and the 1st of October for applications to the Spring Semester and applications for the Fall Semester will be accepted between the 15th of November and the 1st of February.
Applications will be weighed on the basis of the above criteria. Qualified students not admitted at first may be offered admission at later time if a slot opens up.
Successful applicants will need to submit current CNA licensure and current CPR certification to be admitted into the program.
The Herzing University Nursing Program offers a range of qualifications Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
The BSN program combines theoretical in class instruction supported with clinical practice experience in a range of healthcare setting in order to prepare students to offer nursing care.
Students will engage in structured laboratory and clinical experiences to enhance the theoretical instruction.
Admissions Requirements:
The program requires a physical assessment including all applicable immunization series and an interview with committee to acquire recommendation from the Director of Nursing.
Applicants accepted into the program are required to submit to a criminal background check as per legal requirements by healthcare settings.
Herzing University offers the opportunity for students working on a BSN-Bridge degree to earn credits online. The online classes are only offered in the ADN and DPN programs.
The Marian University BSN program has being offering 45 years of training for nurses. The program is accredited by the State of Wisconsin Department of Regulation Licensing Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
The program offers students in class theoretical instruction and clinical experiences in a range of clinical agencies equipping them with leadership skills and clinical competence.
Admission Requirements:
Applicants to the program will be required to pass a criminal background check and to meet health and safety requirements at the time of application.
Students accepted into the program must maintain a CGPA of 2.75 for all courses taken at the University and earn at minimum of a ‘C’ grade in all nursing courses. A student accepted into the nursing program graduate from the program within four years from the time of enrollment.
The program trains students to offer high quality nursing care in a range of health care settings. Graduates from the program are eligible to sit for the national licensing exam (NCLEX RN).
Students are admitted to the College of Nursing as freshman with guaranteed required classes and clinical practice hours enabling most students to graduate from the program in four years.
The program offers basic nursing training supported by the University’s core course of study. The curriculum is offered through lectures, seminars, clinical and laboratory experiences and simulated learning.
All applicants accepted to the Marquette BSN program are required to complete 36 credit hours of Core of Common Studies.
Clinical Enrollment Requires:
Students will not be able to progress in the program if the health reports and criminal background check are not kept up to date.
The Milwaukee School of Engineering Nursing program offers hands on nursing training beginning from the first year of enrollment. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
The program offers both in class theoretical instruction and practical experience.
Students enrolled in the program are able to begin clinical experience in the second year of the four year program in a range of clinical settings to allow students to choose which branch of nursing they would like to specialize in.
Graduates from the program will be eligible be to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses to acquire licensing as a Registered Nurse. The nursing program at MSOE offers preparation to ensure the student’s ability to deliver effective nursing care and to successfully pass the licensure exam.

Students accepted to the MSOE are guaranteed a place in the School of Nursing.

Applicants who do not meet the criteria above will be considered on a case by case basis.
The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Nurse Scholars Program is designed for academically gifted students seeking to enroll academically gifted students as clinical majors as a freshman.
The program intends to prepare scholarly and caring nursing leaders incorporating cutting edge technology and high tech clinical laboratories.
The application for the program should be made at the same time as the student’s application to the University.
The traditional track of the program is a five-semester program with a combination of online classes and actual instruction with actual clinical practice at local healthcare facilities every semester.
The accelerated online BSN track utilizes cutting edge technology to offer students an opportunity to earn a BSN in 12 months.
Admissions Requirements:
Applicants successfully accepted into the program will be contacted through email following the deadline date. Applicants will be required to register for admission interview by a member of the nursing faculty.
Each applicant will be evaluated on the basis of the interview process as well as the completed application with supported documents. The college doesn't have waiting list and each semester a total of 72 students get admitted.
The Wisconsin Lutheran College nursing program is designed to enable students to earn a BSN degree. The program is accredited by the Commission ob Collegiate Nursing Education.
Nursing students will be offered clinical practice experiences in a range of setting in the community including in the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin or nearby Froedtert Hospital.
