The BSN Program is designed to train nurse acquire the necessary skill and expertise in the dynamic world of health care. The school has well qualified lecturers who pay attention to individual students need. Apart from ensuring that each student reaches his/her maximum potential, they also prepare students to pass the licensing exam, NCLEX. Upon passing the exam a graduate takes the title Registered Nurse.
The program is offered at the Troy campus and it can be completed in four and half years. Students are admitted to the BSN Program in the spring and the fall semesters.The deadlines for the submission of application are March 15 and September 15 for fall and spring semesters respectively. Special emphasis in our curriculum enables graduates to work in a variety of areas such as community health, obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, oncology, surgery, geriatrics, recovery room, and intensive care .Core courses taught to attain our mission include Pharmacology, Anatomy & Physiology, Adult Health Nursing, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing, Maternal-Infant Health andGeneral Psychology.
To be admitted to the college,one must:
- Have completed the courses listed for the freshman and sophomore years on the Program of Studies for the BSN Program.
- File a written application with the School of Nursing
- For transfer students a letter of good standing from the previous college
- Students must submit a CPR certification; agree to drug screening test and background check for criminal history.
- Have an overall GPA of a least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
