CUNY LaGuardia Community College is located in Long Island City, New York. This school has been voted one of the top three large community colleges in the United States of America. This community college was established back in 1968 and it currently serves more than 17,000 students. It is a part of the City University of New York (CUNY) college system and it gives students the opportunity to earn many associate’s degrees as well as some certificate programs and continuing education programs at this school. LaGuardia Community College also has an athletic department that is part of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
The LaGuardia Community College nursing program is considered to be one of the finest programs in the area. Students can sign up for the practical nursing program or the associate’s degree nursing program. There is also an LPN-to-RN pathway for existing LPNs who wish to further their career prospects. Graduates of this school’s nursing program have traditionally performed fantastically on the NCLEX licensure examinations, having success rates that are far above the national average.
