CUNY Kingsborough Community College
CUNY Kingsborough Community College (KBCC) is located in Brooklyn, New York. KBCC was established in 1963 and it serves more than 18,000 students at the current time. This school is part of the City University of New York system and it has the distinction of being the only community college in Brooklyn. It has a 71-acre campus that even features a private beach. KBCC has even been recognized as one of the top ten community colleges by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program. The KBCC nursing program is a very esteemed program that has been training nurses in the community for a long time. Students can pursue associate’s degrees in nursing at KBCC and prepare to become valuable members of the medical community. Students will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensure exam upon graduation. Existing LPNs can also seek advanced placement in this program if they meet certain requirements. The KBCC nursing program has the full accreditation of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and is approved by the New York State Education Department.
