Pitt Community College
Pitt Community College (PCC) is located in Winterville, North Carolina and is a part of the North Carolina Community College System. This two-year institution has been serving the community since 1961 and it offers students a great academic experience. More than 11,000 students are enrolled in the various programs that are offered by this school. PCC has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Students can earn associate’s degrees in many different fields of study as well as several diploma programs and certificate programs. PCC has a robust online education program and offers many courses online. The school's continuing education programs have also proven to be popular over the years.
The PCC nursing program helps students to pursue their dreams of becoming registered nurses. This associate’s degree nursing program allows nursing students to learn in a safe environment. All curriculum is designed to prepare nursing students for life as RNs as well as the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. There is also an RN to BBN program in affiliation with East Carolina University. This allows students to work toward their bachelor’s degrees by being enrolled in both schools. The associate’s degree nursing program is approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
