The Chemeketa Community College nursing program offers students the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to become licensed practical nurses (LPN) or registered nurses (RN). It is a tiered program that allows students to learn the necessary skills to become LPNs before moving on to the second year to continue the RN educational path and earn associate’s degrees. There is also an opportunity for current LPNs to transfer to the RN program and receive advanced placement. Students will be able to take advantage of transfer opportunities in order to pursue bachelor’s degrees in nursing as well. This nursing program has been approved by the Oregon State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
