Columbia Gorge Community College
Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) is located in The Dalles, Oregon. CGCC was established back in 1979. The school offers several associate’s degrees and certificate opportunities for students to consider. It is well known for offering many technical education programs that can teach students the necessary skills that they need for lucrative career paths. CGCC is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
The CGCC nursing program gives students the opportunity to pursue either practical nursing or associate’s degrees in nursing. The curriculum has been designed to teach students all of the necessary skills to succeed in their desired career paths. Currently, CGCC is undergoing changes to the curriculum in order to adhere to the standard of the Oregon Consortium of Nursing Education. The CGCC nursing program is approved by the Oregon State Board of Nursing and the Oregon State Board of Education. Upon successful graduation from either nursing track, students will be prepared to apply for the NCLEX licensure exam.
