The American Sentinel University Master of Science Nursing program is an accredited distance nursing degree program.

Admission Requirements:
Graduates from all tracks are eligible to sit for the national certification examination administered by the National Board on Certification and Re-certification.
The school may require applicants to show transcripts for specific courses and prerequisite examinations may be required for specific graduate tracks. Applicants who are deemed to be insufficiently prepared may be required to sit for special examinations to meet undergraduate prerequisites.

The Southern Connecticut State University Master of Science Degree is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
The program offers specializations in three different tracks Family Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Education and Clinical Nurse Leader.
The Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator tracks both consist of 45 to 48 credits that include 24 credits of core courses, 18 credits of role preparation and 6 credits of thesis advisement or 3 credits of a special project.
The Clinical Nurse Leader track consists of 42 credits made up of 24 credits of core courses and 12 credits of clinical courses in addition to a special project or a thesis.
Admission Requirements:
Admissions to the program are accepted on a rolling basis. Students accepted into the program are required to complete the program within six years from enrollment in the first graduate course.

The MSN program is designed to train nurses in advanced practice to enable graduates to taken on roles as advanced practitioners and leaders. The program offers specialization in Adult Gero Nurse Practitioner (acute care), Neonatal and Clinical Nurse Leader.
Students in the program are required to complete a core curriculum in research, nursing theory, statistics and regulatory, legal and policy aspects of advanced nursing. Students in the program are able to choose from a full time or a part time plan of enrollment.

The Western Connecticut State University Master of Science in Nursing Program is designed to prepare nurses for advanced practice, leadership, education and management roles. The program is offered in two tracks the Adult Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Nursing Practice: Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The program requires students to complete 36 credits of a specialized curriculum consisting of a core of theoretical, research and issues coursework, a practical and support components to offer a concentrated practicum experience. The clinical and role components courses include a minimum of 500 hours of clinical practicum experience and a research based project or a thesis.
The MSN program is designed for students enrolling on a part time basis with courses offered in the evening to allow students to complete the program in an average of 4 years with students allowed a maximum of 6 years to complete the degree.
Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to sit for the certification examination in their chosen specialty.
Admissions Requirements:
The Yale University Master of Science Curriculum is designed to prepare nurses as practitioners in select specialties and in evidence based research.
The MSN program accepts both Registered Nurses with baccalaureate degree and college graduates in other disciplines.
A Registered Nurse enrolled on a full time basis can complete the requirements for the MSN in two academic years. Students can also enroll on a scheduled part time basis. The Nursing program offers a Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing, which requires two extra terms and one summer session for students from a non-nursing background.
Students in the Yale Nursing program can choose from a wide selection of clinical nurse specialist or nurse practitioner specialties including a nurse midwifery specialty.

The Yale School of Nursing requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a bachelor’s degree in another discipline as a primary requirement for admission. The program admits students from a wide range of backgrounds encompassing those with extensive experience in the field as well as those who have recently discovered a nursing vocation and are seeking an entry in to the profession.
