The Bellingham Technical College program for nurses is designed for students who have graduated from a Practical Nursing Program and who possess an up to date Washington State LPN license.
The program is specifically intended for graduates from the Bellingham LPN program and PN graduates will be given priority in the application process.
The LPN-RN prepares graduates to be eligible to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination to be a licensed Registered Nurse.
The program is offered in three quarters of study with each quarter requiring an average of 140 hours of study. The curriculum consists of a combination of theoretical instruction, laboratory and clinical practice.
The class schedule consists of one to three six-eight hour days a week while clinical practice experience at health care facilities are scheduled Thursdays through Sundays during the day or in the evening.
Admission to the program is usually offered twice a year depending on the availability of space.

An applicant accepted into the program will be required to submit health assessment report, drug panel screening, current CPR certification and a current copy of LPN license.
The Clover Park Technical College Nursing program prepares students to perform the duties of a Registered Nurse. The program is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
The program is designed to allow practicing Licensed Practical Nurses to gain the additional education to progress to a Registered Nurse. The LPN-RN to program takes into consideration previous experience in combination with lectures and clinical experience over the course of the four quarter program.
Admission Requirements:
Applications for the program need to be submitted by the 25th of June of the year of proposed enrollment. New applicants are only admitted in the fall quarter.
Applicants accepted into the program are expected to submit to a local and national criminal background check and a current CPR for healthcare providers according to the guidelines established by the American Heart Association.
Students in the program are also required to carry personal health and medical insurance through the course of clinical practice rotations as precondition to admittance at clinical sites.
