Nursing Programs
The LPN program provided by Reid State Technical College is structured to meet the demands of both full-time and part-time students. For the full time day program, the course duration is three semesters while the part time students take four semesters. The diploma program has the approval of the Alabama Board of Nursing. Students, who complete the program satisfactorily, become eligible to seat at NCLEX PN exam.
The program is offered at two sites. The main campus in Evergreen and an off campus site located in Atmore. In both campuses part time and full time classes are offred. The curriculum is also the same.
The aim of the practical nursing program is to impart requisite technical skills and knowledge to students to enable them gain employment as entry level licensed practical nurses.

Admission
For full time students, enrolment is usually during fall and spring semesters during the first term while part time students can enrol in any semeter. Applicants are also subject to criminal background check and drug screening. Applying students must have completed the TEAS-V (The Test of Essential Academic Skills). The exams results are used to determine the cut off criteria for college admission.
