DeSales University
Established in 1964, DeSales University is a private institution in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. It was founded as a college offering a Bachelor of Arts degree and Bachelor of Science degree. Over the years, the number of programs has expanded. The college received university status in 2000 and now offers a variety of programs through traditional, online, and hybrid learning. The campus is spread across 400 acres in the Lehigh Valley. DeSales University also operates two satellite campuses in nearby Lansdale and Bethlehem. The same year that the university achieved university status, the Salesian Center for Faith & Culture was established on the campus. This building is a center for research and development and houses a state-of-the-art simulations lab.
DeSales University offers undergraduate and graduate-level nursing programs. These options include traditional BSN, accelerated BSN, and RN to BSN. The university also offers MSN, RN to MSN, and DNP graduate degree programs. These options are all accredited by the CCNE. The accelerated BSN program is designed to be completed in just 15 months. Students enrolled in either the traditional BSN or accelerated BSN complete their clinical rotations at local healthcare facilities. Students also have the chance to intern at nearby clinics and hospitals. After completing one of the BSN programs, students have a 98.7% pass rate for the NCLEX-RN exam.
