West Virginia University Institute of Technology
West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) is located in Beckley, West Virginia. WVU Tech was established way back in 1895 and has gone through a large number of name changes and other alterations over the years. It serves over 1000 students and is capable of awarding various bachelor’s degrees. One of the most popular programs at the school is the robust engineering program. WVU Tech also has a very good athletics department for students to enjoy. There are many different team sports available for students to consider at this school.
The WVU Tech nursing program has proven to be a very popular program throughout the years. The school has the distinction of being the only public institution in the southern portion of West Virginia that offers a baccalaureate degree in nursing. The curriculum of the program is thorough and nurses from WVU Tech go on to have lucrative careers in the field. The BSN program at WVU Tech has been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
