Fayetteville State University
Fayetteville State University (FSU) is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina and is a part of the University of North Carolina System. FSU is a historically black university that was established back in 1867 to meet the educational needs of the African-American community. This is the second oldest state-supported school in North Carolina. It currently serves around 6000 students. This university offers bachelor’s degrees in 43 different areas, master’s degrees in 23 different areas, and one doctorate degree. FSU has the accreditation of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It also has many student organizations and programs that help to provide students with a fun and fulfilling college experience.
The FSU nursing program has been striving to provide nursing students with an excellent education since 1992. Students will be able to pursue their bachelor’s degree in nursing through this renowned nursing program. The school boasts a very high success rate on the NCLEX-RN licensure exam with percentages that far surpass the national average. The FSU nursing program has been ranked second for nursing programs in the eastern United States based on quality, affordability, value, satisfaction, and convenience. It is also ranked in the top seven for North Carolina RN-to-BSN programs. Students will gain experience through both classroom sessions and clinical periods. This nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
