Thomas Nelson Community College
Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) is located in Hampton, Virginia with the secondary campus being located in James City County. This two-year college was established in 1968. The school is a part of the Virginia Community College System and is the fourth-largest community college in all of Virginia. There are various associate’s degree and certificate programs to choose from. Students often attend TNCC to take care of the first two years of their college education before transferring over to four-year state colleges or universities. TNCC is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
The TNCC nursing program is designed to prepare nursing students to become entry-level registered nurses. This associate’s degree in nursing program gives students the chance to learn all of the right skills that they will need in their professional lives. Nursing students in this program will be completing 500 hours of clinical instruction at local healthcare facilities. It gives students the hands-on experience that they need in order to help patients to the best of their abilities. This nursing program is approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
