Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College
Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College is located in Mount Gay, West Virginia. Southern can trace its roots all the way back to 1960. It was originally a branch location of another college but it wound up becoming a stand-alone community college in 1970. Since that time, the school has been working diligently to provide affordable educational opportunities to the community. Students often attend Southern in order to take care of the first two years of college classes that are required for a bachelor’s degree. Students can also earn associate’s degrees and certificates at this school. There are various career and technical programs offered by Southern. Many of these can lead directly to lucrative careers.
The southern nursing program is capable of awarding students associate’s degrees in nursing. he program is respected in the community and many students have found great success in their professional lives due to the thorough training they received at this institution.
