Nursing Programs
The Roane Jackson Technical Center, Nursing program is designed to prepare students who are able to offer quality nursing care in a range of healthcare setting.
The program offers instruction in a combination if classroom, laboratory and clinical practice settings. Clinical practice and practical experience in offered at a range of health care facilities in the area under the supervision of faculty and trained staff.
Admission Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency certificate
- Pre-admission test (to be taken by the end of March)
- Personal references (at least three)
Applicants that have completed the application documentation will be interviews by members of the faculty of the School of Nursing. The program offers a 120 credit hour waiver for Certified Nursing Assistants.
Qualified applicants who are accepted into the program are required to confirm accepting the placement by submitting required fees.
The program will require health assessment, drug screening and criminal background check as required by clinical health care settings cooperating with the program and by the licensing body.
Classes for the program begin in July with classroom instruction held from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm five days a week. Hours for clinical practice may vary as per arrangement with host facilities.
