Roxbury Community College Division of Nursing & Allied Health

Roxbury Community College (RCC) is located in Roxbury Crossing, Massachusetts. RCC was established in 1973 and it serves more than 2,000 students. This school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It offers students several associate degree programs and there are also a number of certificate programs that students can take part in. RCC even has some specific partnerships with four-year universities that will allow students to earn a bachelor degree in some fields. There are also many transfer options for the credits that students will receive while attending RCC, making it a very practical choice for those who want to move on to a four-year university to further their academic pursuits.

The RCC nursing program is quite varied and offers nursing students a great educational opportunity. Students will be able to choose from the certificate in practical nursing program and the associate in science degree in nursing program. Both programs offer students a chance to hone their nursing skills to achieve their professional goals. There will be classroom experiences, as well as clinical experiences, that take place at various health care agencies. Both nursing programs are currently approved “with warning” by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. The associate degree program is also accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
