Moraine Park Technical College
Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC) is located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and is a part of the Wisconsin Technical College System. This public technical college was established in 1912 and it currently serves more than 16,000 students. Students will be able to earn more than 100 associate’s degrees, certificates, and diplomas. This school primarily focuses on technical areas of study. All students will be able to attend traditional classes but there are also online options. Some courses will offer a blended course where some of the work is done online and others will be done in traditional classrooms. MPTC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The MPTC nursing program gives students the chance to earn associate's of applied science degrees in nursing. This program is designed to provide students with the option to exit after one year in order to earn licensed practical nurse (LPN) status. Students will be able to choose whether they want to carry on with the second year in order to pursue the associate’s degree and registered nurse (RN) status. All students will receive classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical experiences while taking part in this program. The nursing program at MPTC has been accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
