Nursing Programs
The Gateway Technical College Associate Degree in Nursing was designed as per the Wisconsin Technical College System requirements set by the National League for Nursing.
The program is intended to prepare students with the theoretical and practical skills to offer quality nursing care and to become successful candidates for the National Licensure Examination to be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
Students entering into the program are required to complete the petition process. The college maintains an open door admissions policy accepting all students 18 years of age and older.
Admission Requirements:
- Fill the application for admission
- Take the Gateway Technical College Placement test
- Submit official transcripts for all college level coursework
- Submit Background Information Disclosure form, CPR certification, and required licensing
Students can apply to college at any time but applications received by the 1st of January for the summer semester, the 1st of July for the fall semester and the 1st of October for the Spring Semester will be offered priority.
Applicants will fall under one of the three acceptance status categories. Applications that have met all the requirements for admission will receive ‘Full Acceptance Status'.
Applicants who meet all admission requirements but for whom remediation is required will have a ‘Remedial Acceptance Status’ and applicants required to meet admission requirements will fall in the ‘Conditional Acceptance Status.’
