John C Calhoun State Community College is located in Tanner, Alabama. This college offers 11 nationally accredited degree programs. This is a very large public community college that has been serving Alabama for many years. The college was founded in 1946 and was named after the seventh Vice-President of the United States, John C Calhoun. The campus itself is roughly 110 acres and features many classroom buildings, as well as a gymnasium.
As a college with around 10,000 students, this school offers many of the finest possible education programs to help students find lucrative new careers. The college offers one of the best nursing programs in the state of Alabama. Students will be able to make use of the pre-nursing program to help advise them down the right career path. The school has a renowned RN program that is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). All nursing programs have the full approval of the Alabama Board of Nursing as well. This is one of the most popular programs in the college and students can pursue becoming an LPN or an RN.
