Castleton State College Associate's Degree program is approved by the Vermont State Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. The School Currently Offers Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Associate in Science in Nursing.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a Dual Degree Nursing Program. Fourth-year students graduate at the end of year three with an associate degree; sit for the NLEX-RN licensing exam, and continue to complete the baccalaureate degree as registered nurses.
Admission Requirements
The Associate in Science in Nursing is a 2 year program and approved by e Vermont State Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). And the Admission requirements are the same for this program.
Upon successful completion of the program, the student is eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN). Each student should refer to the state in which she/he plans to take the NCLEX-RN examination upon graduation for specific requirements. State Boards of Nursing have the sole authority to grant graduates the opportunity to take the NCLEX-RN examination
