Trident Technical College
Trident Technical College (TTC) is located in Charleston, South Carolina and is part of the South Carolina Technical College System. It was formed back in 1973 when the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Technical Education Center merged with Palmer College. The school enrolls around 12,000 students each semester. TTC offers various associate’s degree programs, certificates, and diplomas that will help students to chase their career-based dreams.
The TTC nursing program allows students to earn practical nursing diplomas or associate’s degrees in nursing. This is a sequential program that allows nursing students to prepare themselves for progressive roles of nursing practice. Students will learn to perform as LPNs first and then as RNs if they continue in the program. There is also a transition program that allows current LPNs to pursue becoming RNs. There are going to be classroom experiences, simulation labs, and clinical experience that take place at local hospitals. This nursing program has been accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
