South Florida State College
South Florida State College (SFSC) is a four-year state college that is located in Avon Park, Florida. SFSC is a member of the Florida College System that used to be a community college. It became a full-fledged state college in 2012 and started offering more bachelor’s degree options for students. This school currently offers students associate’s degrees in more than 60 different areas of study. It also offers many bachelor’s degree programs as well as several certificate programs that can help students to advance their career opportunities. The school was originally established in 1965 and it continues to serve the community as an important academic institution.
SFSC has a nursing program that offers various different focuses for prospective nursing students. Nursing students can become LPNs or RNs by going through the courses that this college offers. Practical nursing courses will allow students to be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN licensure examination. Students will also be able to pursue associate’s degrees and bachelor’s degrees in nursing. Upon successful completion of these programs, registered nursing students will be able to take the NCLEX-RN exam. There is also a transition course for LPNs to become RNs. SFSC gives students a great education that will let them find success as nurses in any setting.
