Rowan-Cabarrus Community College

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) is located in Salisbury, North Carolina and is part of the state-supported North Carolina Community College System. RCCC was established back in 1963 and it now serves more than 22,000 students. The school offers associate’s degrees in more than 40 different fields of study and there are also various accredited diploma and certificate program options for students to take advantage of. This school has even proven to be a popular choice for those who are looking to transfer credits over to larger four-year universities. It is also known for its convenience as it offers day classes, evening classes, and online courses.

The RCCC nursing program offers several different potential paths for students. There are programs such as the nurse's aide program that can lead directly into lucrative employment opportunities. Students will also be able to pursue the practical nursing program and the associate’s degree nursing program. Nursing students will develop their skills over time and will gain all of the necessary experience to function well as nursing professionals. There is also an RN-to-BSN program offered in affiliation with UNC Greensboro. Both the associate’s degree program and the practical nursing program are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
