Oklahoma City Community College
Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. OCCC was established in 1972 and it now serves more than 19,000 students. The school is among the largest higher education institutions in all of Oklahoma. OCCC gives students the chance to earn 25 different associate’s degrees in various areas of study. There are also a number of different certificate and diploma programs. OCCC also has transfer agreements that allow for a smooth transition over to four-year universities. This school is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
The OCCC nursing program allows students to pursue associate’s degrees in nursing. This program will prepare all students for the rigors of being professional registered nurses (RN). Nursing students will be taught to practice safe care in order to meet the needs of a diverse population. Graduates of this nursing program have consistently had higher success rates than the national average on the NCLEX licensure exams. The OCCC nursing program has been fully approved by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing. The nursing program is also completely accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
