North Central Texas College
North Central Texas College (NCTC) is located in Gainesville, Texas. There are also two full-service locations in Corinth and Bowie as well as branch campuses in Graham and Flower Mound. NCTC was established back in 1924 and the school is capable of offering students a very robust academic experience. Students can earn many associate’s degrees and certificates in various areas of study. NCTC sees providing access to affordable education to the community as one of its primary missions. This school is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
The NCTC nursing program allows students to pursue either vocational nursing or associate’s degree nursing. Students can earn certificates in the pursuit of becoming licensed vocational nurses (LVN) or associate’s degrees in their pursuit of becoming registered nurses (RN). There is also an LVN-to-RN transition program for current LVNs who wish to become RNs. Students of the NCTC nursing program have great success rates on all NCLEX licensure exam. Nursing students from this program also enjoy excellent job placement rates. This nursing program has been approved by the Texas State Board of Nursing and is also fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
