Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) is located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. ECTC is a two-year institution that was established in 2004. This public two-year institution is a part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. It formed when two other schools were consolidated into one larger school. The former schools were known as Elizabethtown Community College and Elizabethtown Technical College. This school has proven to be an important part of the community and it offers academic opportunities to people at reasonable prices. There are a lot of different academic programs for those who wish to achieve associate degrees. Students can also earn several different technical or vocational certificates at this school.
ECTC has a nursing program that is very esteemed as well. The school has two nursing programs that students will be able to follow. There is the practical nursing program and the associate degree nursing program. Both of these are very successful and ECTC does a great job of providing students with a varied education. Students are exposed to the best techniques and will learn to hone their skills in a safe environment. This school has a remarkable success rate for nurses who go on to take the NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN licensure examinations. It does a good job of preparing students for the challenges of being a professional nurse while offering them the most support possible through the courses.
