Bucks County Community College
Bucks County Community College is located in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Bucks is a two-year community college that was founded back in 1964. Thousands of students attend this community college each semester and it offers many part-time and full-time academic opportunities. Students can earn both associate’s degrees and certificate from Bucks. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Aside from offering traditional classes, the school also has many online associate’s degree and certificate courses.
The Bucks nursing program gives students several different options to consider. Bucks students will be able to sign up for either the associate’s degree in nursing program or the practical nursing program. There is an advanced placement option for existing LPNs who wish to pursue becoming RNs as well. The Bucks nursing program has been approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Graduates of the nursing program will be prepared for either the NCLEX-PN or NCLEX-RN licensure exam, depending on which nursing path was chosen.
