The West Coast University Nursing Program is to prepare students to become an entry-level healthcare provider to render basic nursing care. The program offers theoretical in class instruction, pharmacology, technical skills, and off site clinical practice experience.
Students in the program will be trained in the areas in basic fundamentals, medical surgical nursing, culturally sensitive, maternity/nutrition, leadership and critical thinking, gerontology rehabilitation nursing, pediatric Nursing Growth and Development.
Graduates from the program will work under the supervision of a licensed physician or a Registered Nurse in a range of health care setting including doctor’s offices, clinics, community based health care and assisted living facilities.
The program schedule is: Monday and Tuesday 8:30 AM- 4:30 PM lecture days, Wednesday and Thursday 7:00 Am-3:30 PM clinical days.
A new month program is offered on Evenings and Weekends Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 PM - 10:30 PM lecture days and Saturday and Sunday 7:00 Am -3:30 PM clinical days.
