Genesee Community College
Genesee Community College (GCC) is located in Batavia, New York and is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) college system. This public community college was established back in 1966. There are more than 5500 students at GCC currently and the school seeks to provide all of them with a high-quality education. This school even offers housing facilities for out-of-area students. GCC offers students more than 65 academic programs including associate’s degrees at this school as well as a range of different academic certificates.
The GCC nursing program allows students to earn associate’s degrees in nursing. The nursing theory will be the main focus of the classes but there will also be many clinical experiences where students can gain practical experience at regional health service provider sites. The GCC nursing program also offers students many transfer options to four-year universities. Those who wish to pursue bachelor’s degrees in nursing can benefit from starting their education at GCC. This nursing program has been fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
