Ogden-Weber Technical College
Ogden-Weber Technical College (OWTC) is located in Ogden, Utah and is part of the Utah System of Technical Colleges. OWTC was established in 1971 and it is among the largest technical colleges in all of Utah. Most of the programs at OWTC are designed to provide students with an education that will help them find job placement easily. OWTC has technical training options in 30 different programs. The school even has the distinction of being the first school in the nation to receive the prestigious US Secretary of Education Award for Outstanding Vocational Programs. OWTC is fully accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.
The OWTC nursing program gives students the chance to become licensed practical nurses (LPN). The practical nursing program at OWTC involves a varied curriculum. Students will be taking part in traditional classroom experiences along with simulation labs, discussion groups, written assignments, and clinical practice. All clinical practice is fully supervised and will take place at various healthcare facilities. The nursing program at OWTC is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
