Missouri State University-West Plains is located in West Plains, Missouri. This public two-year university is a separately accredited campus of Missouri State University. It was established back in 1963 and has an open enrollment policy that allows any student to seek educational opportunities. The school serves nearly 2,000 students. There are several associate degree programs for students to pursue in various fields. There are also many activities that students will be able to take part in on the campus. Students can take part in the student government or they can spend time in the recreation center or the gym.
The nursing program at Missouri State University-West Plains is very good, too. The program is designed to teach nursing students the critical thinking skills that they need to find success on the job. The program has many community partnerships that provides nursing students with opportunities and learning experiences outside of the classroom. Those who are already working as LPN will be able to apply for the LPN to RN track. The ADN program is fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
