Mercy Hospital
Mercy Hospital School of Practical Nursing is located in Miami, Florida. The school has been providing nursing education in the area since 1981. It all began with a small class of 12 nursing students and has turned into a program that is much larger. The school has gained such an excellent reputation over the years that it has even been honored in the community. In 2001, the Mayor of Miami Dade County decreed that August 3rd would be known as Mercy Hospital School of Practical Nursing Day. The school offers three different practical nursing programs with one of them taking place in the evening for the convenience of the students.
This nursing program is among the most respected in all of Florida. It has consistently produced excellent nurses throughout the years. The curriculum of this school is very thorough and students can expect to take courses covering a wide range of different areas. Everything from pharmacology in nursing to pediatric nursing is covered in this school. The length of the program will be either 12 or 14 months, depending on whether students are signed up for the day or evening courses. Each program will last for three semesters. Mercy Hospital School of Practical Nursing is a private hospital-based school that is approved by the Florida State Board of Nursing. It is also fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
