Luna Community College
Luna Community College (LCC) is located in Las Vegas, New Mexico. LCC was established back in 1969 and was originally known as the Luna Area Vocational Technical School. LCC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and it offers more than 35 associate’s degree and vocational or technical certificate programs. This school has very small class sizes that allow each student to receive more personalized instruction. This school also has many programs that are designed to be transferred over to four-year universities, which will appeal to those looking to earn bachelor’s degrees.
The LCC nursing program offers students the chance to earn associate’s of applied science degrees in nursing and there is also a bachelor of science degree in nursing option that is made available through a partnership with Western New Mexico University. The curriculum of the program uses the widely accepted state model.LCC is a full member of the New Mexico Nursing Education Consortium. The LCC nursing program is approved by the New Mexico Board of Nursing and fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
